FREE CHILDCARE

Here at Dots n Spots we like to support our families anyway we can.

Below you will find information regarding free childcare and help towards childcare costs.

AGE 2
15 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE

The 2 year old funded 15 hours can be taken in the following ways:

1 - Attend for 1 full 10 hour day and one half 5 hour day (7:30 until 17:30 or 8:30 until 18:00).

2 - Attend for 3x 5 hour sessions
(7:30 until 12:30 OR 13:00 until 18:00).

3 - Attend for 5x 3 hour sessions.

(08:30 until 11:30 or 12:15 until 15:15).


An additional  small fee applies for meals, please see more details below.


When your child turns three, they may need to change their attendance pattern. 


Funding is available term time only, however you can choose to bank funding  hours each week to use during non-term time. 

For all families in England, receiving some forms of support.

15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks. Totalling 570 hours per year!

We allow you to stretch the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week.

AGE 3 & 4
15 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE

The 3 & 4 year old funded 15 universal hours can be taken in the following ways:



1 - Attend every day for 3 hours per day.

(8:30 until 11:30 or 12:15 until 15:15).

2 - Attend for 1 full 10 hour day and one half 5 hour day.

3 - Attend for more than 15 hours per week, we will use the funding which will be deducted off some of your weekly sessions.


For all families in England.

15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks.

A total of 570 hours per year!

We allow you to stretch the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week so that you can attend all year round. 

An additional small fee applies for meals. 

AGE 3 & 4
30 HOURS FREE CHILDCARE

The 3 & 4 year old funded extended hours can be taken in the following ways:


1 - Attend 3 full  days (10 hours per day).

2 - Attend 2x full  days (10 hour per day) and 2x half days (5 hours per day).

3 - For children who attend school morning nursery.

3x (5 hour) afternoon sessions (13:00 until 18:00).

An additional £8 fee applies for collection from school nursery at 11:30 including the meal fee for that session.

4 - For children who attend school afternoon nursery). 3x (5 hour) morning sessions (07:30 until 12:30). We will drop your child off at school nursery but they do not return to us.

5 - If children attend for more than 30 hours per week, we will use the funding which will be deducted from some of your weekly sessions.


An additional small fee applies for meals. 


Set days available only. 


Hours can be banked to be spread over the full year rather than term time only if you do not require the full amount of hours weekly.

A total of 1,140 hours per year!

We allow you to stretch the hours over 52 weeks, using fewer hours per week.

SUPPORT WITH CHILDCARE COSTS

TAX - FREE CHILDCARE

For children aged 0 - 11 years



For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK. 

For children aged under 12 

(or under 17 if disabled).

For every £8 you pay in, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year - that's up to £500 every 3 months!

Weekly payments from Care to Learn if you're at school or sixth form college.

Help through your college if you're in further education.

A weekly grant if you're in full-time higher education

TAX CREDITS FOR CHILDCARE

3 support options!



For working families, in the UK.

For children aged under 16

( or under 17 if disabled).

70% of childcare costs, up to a cap.

If you cannot make a new claim for Tax Credits,  you may be able to apply for Universal Credit instead.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT FOR CHILDCARE

For children aged 0 - 16 years



For working families claiming Universal Credit, in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

For children aged under 17*

Up to 85% of eligible childcare costs. 

Who aren't receiving Tax-Free Childcare

HELP FOR HOUSEHOLDS

The government is offering help for households.









Meal Fees

There is an additional cost for meals for children aged 2, 3 & 4 who receive free childcare and attend over a meal time:


Breakfast = 50p per session

Lunch = £2.00 per session

Tea = £1.50 per session.


This will be added to your invoice on a weekly basis.
